The Earth as an element is classified as a solid matter, but is so so much more than just that. It is a place of grounding and of centering, that teaches us how to stabilize. It is a place where the energy moves downward creating that sense of rooting or balance. In an ever changing world and in our ever changing businesses, the element Earth and our ability to tune into what she offers us can help us stay true to ourselves.
We have chosen to do the Element Series as a point of focus to interlace with our teachings because of the incredible connection the elements have to each of our educational pieces and to us individually.

Education
We will begin with approximately 2 hours of education and discussion around branding, identifying your ideal client, and finding your voice. We believe that within community, we have the opportunity to all learn from each other. By facilitating a safe and comfortable environment, we can speak our hearts opening space for continued learning and growth.
Please bring with you a note pad or journal to take notes if you’d like!
This portion of the event will be held indoors at at location where meals can be purchased (at your own expense) while we talk. Location will be determined at a later date.
Location
Styled Session
There will be three model groups consisting of an expecting mother, a tandem breastfeeding mother, and a solo mother. Participants will break into three randomized groups and will have the opportunity to photograph each model group. Lauren, Lindsey and guest instructor Katie, will be available for guidance and instruction throughout the session.
We ask that each photographer send a minimum of 5 edited, high resolution images to each model for their personal use.
Both the education portion and the styled session will take place in Evergreen, Colorado. The specific location will be disclosed to the participants upon booking.

Please note that the specific timing will be disclosed as we get closer to the event date, but that it will remain within the window of 12pm - 5pm.
FAQs
Is this workshop open to all photographers?
YES!! We welcome photographers at all stages of your career / creative path. We will not be going over basic camera skills, so you will need to understand your camera enough to operate it individually. However, we LOVE getting creative and teaching and learning tricks, so please don’t feel like you can’t discuss settings and try something new. Whether you are just starting, or have been doing this for years, we believe that there is ALWAYS something new to learn!
I am really hoping to build (or enhance) my portfolio, do we have permission to share what we create?
Absolutely!! We have designed the workshop so that you have the freedom to explore, be creative, try something new without the pressures or expectations of having to deliver a full gallery.
We do ask that each participant agree to provide each model group with a minimum of FIVE edited high resolution images. You are welcome to send more, but not required.
If there is inclement weather, will we reschedule?
Colorado has experienced a year of weather unlike any in many years past. 2023 is an El Niño year as well, so we have had an unprecedented amount of moisture and believe it will continue into the fall/winter. Our participants and models safety is of utmost importance to us and will take priority.
We have reserved Thursday, November 9th, 2023 as our backup date in the event we are unable to gather on the original date. Please mark your calendars.
